I LOVE my teammates to bits (and all the pieces).

The very fact that I see them five days a week in the hols, that only they can truly understand the struggle of tough training amid the impossible studying for the upcoming block test, trying our best to balance the dips and accelerations on a surreal see-saw together, sharing what it means to paddle till your heart drops and what it takes,

What would I do without teammates? (:

Am so comforted that you guys stayed up at the pull-up bar today just to see my first not so standard pull up and made me hang in there. Not being to do even one has made me so ashamed all this while, and so i decided it's time to let this derision dissipate and vanish. Well, I promise my first proper pull-up soon, no matter how much I hated it in the past.

Proudly presenting to you my definition of teammates concealed in all these pictures.
Support, determination, ample joy and simply love.

JTS/birthday celeb 31st may

team shot!

the seniors, with lihui's hazardous pose.yihang you're missed!
spastic attempt at blowing an imaginary candle, silly mel, look at her sadistic smile.

thanks for such an extraordinary company (:

First time to Sizzlers', the lunch buffet was awesome there! Personalised sundaes, free flow salads and more. Yummy, felt really pampered. Thanks for the treat juniors!

And guess what i've got an excessively-detailed map of Singapore for a birthday gift, "so that you wont get lost again". Yeah right (: It's rather amusing how everyone crammed around the map intently trying to find our dearest bedok and macritchie reservoirs. The photo collage on the verso and pretty strawberry cake carved in a heart were heartening, plus my very first gorgeous bouquet of orange rose from fiona and kaiwen.

Went down to play daytona at suntec arcade with yt, xinyi, sylvia and mel. Died laughing, racing and screaming simultaneously.

Training at Bedok 30th may

Goodness knows how but i alighted at the wrong end of the reservoir, how spastic, even more so when i realised that the meeting point is just a whole straight street away from my house. Rahh.

Anyway, the gushes of wind, not to mention the water currents, were crazy. Adding to boiling frustration, the lanes had so minimal number of buoys with inconsistent distances to accomplish their deceptive roles. It's simply not the place for competition, but yet it just has to be /:

It pains me to realise that its the only time we're there with coach. So, that snapshot with him's to be treasured. To have a team-'woosh' as the warm crimson sun sets was comforting.

Last Gym Session 21st may

STRONG GIRLS (: i dont care what others have got to say about our muscles. Just imagine canoeing without them, we'll be snails on water. I miss all the brenchpress, lats pulldown, one arm snatch (as intelligently labelled as OAS by the juniors), 'chicken wings'...and the once-agonising track programme.

Coach Farewell 20th may

Four generations of girls met up on that day. That explains the masquerade on the stairway with our beloved coach. You're so terribly missed /:

NWKC 13th may

with xinyi;
gold, silver and bronze (:

NWKC ended on a cheery note, with the trickling of sweat from giving in our very best fights on water and radiant smiles from having persevered as a team. Trainings on the big, fat T1 did pay off! and yes mel, sorry for the silly tears and whining at the start of this year. And its rather cool how me and xinyi ended up paddling 500m T1 finals side by side. Twins for a reason? Perhaps (:

We've all come such a long way, and its just frighteningly four weeks left. Let's not render disillusionment (as coach puts it) any chance of seeping in. Hang in there alright, stay as strong as ever!

We're all in this together, COME ON (:
